Some students want to try a career pathway while still in high school. One of the EFE programs offered by Gull Lake is Fundamentals of Nurse Science.

“I am really enjoying the class right now,” junior Emily Rapp said.

It’s located at Comstock high school, the class runs first and second block. She starts off her day learning about fire safety, solutions and infection control.

Rapp looks to pursue a career in this field of study. The class is even visiting a hospital soon to job shadow nurses.

“I am really excited to see how they work in a hospital, and I think I’ll like it. I like the idea that I’ll be saving peoples’ lives, and nursing them back to health again,” Rapp said.
