The nationally known mystery novel writer Dan E. Johnson is most known for his recent novel series, The Detroit Electric Scheme: A Mystery. Published by St. Martin’s Minotaur Books in September of 2010, the book is on the shelves of over 704 libraries across the nation. The series also includes Motor City Shakedown, Detroit Breakdown, and Detroit Shuffle. Detroit Shuffle, the most recent in the series, was published in 2013. The books take place in the 1910’s in downtown Detroit, revolving around young protagonist Will Anderson and his experiences in dealing with the mob bosses that run the city.

Johnson is an alumni member of neighboring Central Michigan University and is a history expert, along with being very well diversified in his knowledge of the electric car industry. Johnson is the second of the  Meet Michigan Authors series at the Richland Community Library.

Feel free to stop by on February 9, 2016 at Richland Community Library at 7:00 p.m.

Stosh Tustin

My name is Stosh Tustin, and I am a junior at Gull Lake High School. I run cross country and play baseball. This is my second year on the newspaper staff, and I’m excited about broadening my writing and photography spectrum. I joined newspaper to understand the work and steps it takes to become a well rounded photographer and writer. I would like to also do film for the paper this year.
