A certain phenomenon has taken GLHS students by storm: Yummy Lix. This sweet candy treat retails for $1 and is a fundraiser for the Gull Lake Robotics Team. Yummy Lix come in a variety of flavors from bubblegum, to peach mango.

“I decided to get peach mango because my friend told me it was good,” said Josh Vennard, junior at Gull Lake High School. “It’s a nice and convenient treat as they taste great and because many students are selling them around the school.”

Yummy Lix spread throughout the high school as many people learned about it through word of mouth. Not only have they been acclaimed by students to have a diverse amount of flavors, but they last incredibly long.

“They are really great,” said Alex Margol, senior at Gull Lake. “They also last for a super long time, almost the whole class period.”

Despite the popularity of these lollipops by students galore, not everyone thinks they are that great.

“I got a free one in Mr. Blakely’s class, but I couldn’t choose the flavor, and it was cinnamon,” said senior Jake Schmitt. “It was way too strong, and I couldn’t eat all of it.”

While Schmitt’s introduction to product left him wanting, he did note that he would give them another shot and try a different flavor.
