Student Senate participates in bright holidays events, all while preparing for upcoming Sno Court dance

student-senate-use-this‘Tis the season for giving, right? The Gull Lake student senate knows this to be true, as they are participating in the Kalamazoo community’s Bright Holidays event. This organization brings gifts to families and children that are not fortunate enough to purchase gifts of their own.

“It feels so good to make someone’s holiday memorable,”  said senior class president Jessie Kistner.

The senate members went out shopping for gifts for the families this past weekend, and Kistner sad it was a great success. All that is left to do is wrap the presents and send them off to the families in need.

“It’s a lot of fun to go out shopping with your friends, and it’s a for a great cause,” said Kistner. “It’s a win win situation for sure.”

Along with bright holidays, the senate is beginning to plan for the upcoming Sno Court dance.

“A lot goes into planning dances, so Mrs. Addy likes to get started early,” said Kistner.

The senate will have a meeting this Friday to discuss the details.
