Gull Lake student senate hosts 2017 regional connect conference

student-senate-use-thisOur very own Gull Lake high school student senate will be hosting the 2017 regional Connect Conference. This conference brings together the student government programs from the southwest Michigan area for a day of activities and fellowship.

“It is very exciting to have the conference right here in our backyard,” said senior class president Jessie Kistner. “It will be a lot of work, but I know it will be worth it.”

The conference will take place at the Sherman Lake YMCA and will host nearly 100 students. Throughout the day, the groups will converse with each other in various team building activities and will discuss how their respective student governments work.

“It’s really cool to work with other schools and meet a wide variety of students,” said Kistner. “It’s interesting to hear how other student governments are working hard to better their schools.”

The conference will take place on Wednesday, February 15.
