On February 17, 2017,  rapper Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, known professionally as Future, released his self-titled album FUTURE.

Since April of 2014, Future has released nine featured singles. In addition to having  feature singles, he collaborates with many different A list artists such as Gucci Mane, Kanye West, Ty Dolla $ign, Rae Sremmurd, and most frequently, Drake. However, on his most recent album, Future has no collaborations and no feature singles. In addition, the album had no real promotion, and there is only one accompanying music video.

The self-titled project tells stories of Future’s roots. Following his signature range of club bangers to slow drugged ballads. Under the realm of autotune, Future is a great lyricist.

Although there are no particular feature singles on the album, there are a few that stand out such as “Rent Money,” “POA,” “Draco,” “Mask Off” and “Zoom.” These tracks provide solid beats and brilliantly rhymed lyrics that flow well together.

This is some of Future’s best work, and it truly proves his unmatched talent because he is the sole artist on the album.

Future is expected to drop another album on Thursday February 23, 2017.
