Genealogy is a line of descent traced from an ancestor. The Richland Community Library is holding a Genealogy for Beginners, hosted by members of the Family History Round Table of Richland. The meeting will provide an explanation of how to start research about your own family line and also provide participants with forms necessary to do their own Genealogy.

After the presentation participants will be allowed to search on Ancestory.com and see if they can find any information about their own family line.

Jarod Flaget is a Richland resident who has a love for looking into the past and finding his ancestors.

“I’ve used Ancestory.com before, and I thought it was very interesting,” Flagot said. “I think doing something like this would be very interesting, seeing all of my ancestory, and where I come from is something I might want to look into some day.”

Genealogy for Beginners is held November 14 at 6:15 p.m. if anyone is interested.
