‘Just the Beginning’ for the Rising Pop Star

5 votes

2016 America’s got talent winner Grace Vanderwaal is rising to the top with her album Just the Beginning. At age 13 she has released her debut album November 2017 and will be embarking on an 11-city tour that will begin in February.

Hailed by the notorious Rolling Stones, a “pop prodigy,” this rising star was born from the small girl on stage and bloomed into the confident and graceful woman. Upon her rise to fame, after winning the 11th season of America’s Got Talent, the ukulele welding artist released her best-selling EP Perfectly Imperfect. The reason for her fame? The intensely personal music that inspires her to fans around the world.

“The songs I write are based on my life experiences,” VanderWaal says in a press release. “I channel whatever feelings I have into my lyrics, and if I feel in my heart that a song is right, then it’s right,” says VanderWaal of her songwriting craft. “My favorite part of it all is performing and seeing how my fans react to my music.  I love being able to sing something I’ve created.”

Becoming one of the Billboards top 21 stars under the age of 21 for the second time and recognized in Variety Youth Impact Report, VanderWaal has delivered viral performances everywhere from The Ellen DeGeneres Show to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, as well as the opening ceremony of the 2017 Special Olympics.

With the singer earning Best New Artist honors at both the Radio Disney Awards and Teen Choice Awards and Billboard nothing that Vanderwaal is definitely growing leaps and bounds before our eyes, it all proves that this indeed is all merely the beginning for the budding star.
