George Ezra Barnett, simply known as George “Geoff” Ezra, is a self described “blues-pop” English singer-songwriter who got his fame back in 2014 with his hit song “Budapest.” This track was featured on his studio album “Wanted on Voyage” and eventually reached the #2 on the US Top Rock Songs list.

After a three year hiatus he released a single titled “Don’t Matter Now” in June of 2017, and in January of 2018 Ezra announced a new album titled “Staying at Tamara’s,” to be released in March. They announced in unison with the debuting another single,“Paradise.”

If Ezra’s next album is anything like his last two singles, we can expect him to ditch his blues roots and move more towards a bass driven, more mainstream, pop sound. Previously Ezra’s sound has been a deep folk soul- something that highlighted his deep voice.

This highly anticipated new era of Ezra will show a side of him not previously explored.
