On Friday May 25, Michigan author Jack Cheng will be coming to Gull Lake High School to discuss the process of writing with students.

Cheng has published two novels; his newest is See You in the Cosmos [2017] and his first was These Days [2013].

“Richland Community Library and Parchment Library have partnered to bring him to the area,” said GLHS Media Specialist Karen McConnell.

Cheng will be speaking to two groups of students in the morning, one around 9 a.m. and the other at about 10 a.m. After his visit at Gull Lake, he will be talking with the students of Parchment in the afternoon.

“He speaks around this area to students about the process of writing. How to get published and answers their questions,” McConnell said.

Cheng’s visit is being funded by the Gull Lake Community Schools Foundation with part of grant the building received at the beginning of the year.

Richland Community Library hosted Jack Cheng on March 1 this year, where he primarily discussed his novel See You in the Cosmos.
