Fortnite vs PubG: Which is superior?

Fortnite is better than PubG

Fortnite is the best game out right now. It is very popular because of how much clout it got from big YouTubers like Ninja, myth and timthetatman, as well as other famous people that have played the game, such as Drake and Paul George. It’s the number one most watched game on Twitch, because this game is so good that it’s not only fun to play, but also fun to watch.

Everything about Fortnite is better than PubG, from the colorful graphics to the quick matchmaking servers. This is the perfect game to stream or play, with over 40 million players, the fortnite creators epic games are having a unbelievable year?

The first reason that Fortnite is better than PubG is because its free to play. PubG costs thirty dollars, and players can also spend even more money for keys that open certain loot boxes. On the other hand, Fortnite also offers extra content for extra cash, but the game itself is one hundred percent free to enjoy. You can purchase a seasonal battle pass to unlock sweet “skins,” harvesting tools, and backlinks, but that’s up to the player; if you choose not to, than you can still jump into a game with all of your friends to get a victory royle.

Another reason that Fortnite is better is that it is less buggy than PubG. Fortnite is way better optimized and performs much better across all of its platforms. If you have a good WiFi connection, you will not experience the same level of bugs, glitches, and other issues as you would in PubG.

Thirdly, the creators of Fortnite, Epic Games, do right by their fans with new content and communication. Epic maintains a storyline throughout the game and consistently comes out with new seasons; currently, Fortnite is on season six, with new game modes available and new things to try in each release.

Finally, Fortnite allows everyone to enjoy the game, since it is available on almost all consoles. Unlike PubG, which can only be accessed through Xbox or PC, Fortnite is available through Playstation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch, and was even recently released on mobile devices. You can play with your friends on the go rather than being stuck at your computer. You never have to stop playing the game if you don’t want to.

PUBG is better than Fortnite

PUBG, or PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, is the game that popularized the battle royale genre. It was met with high praise upon release, and has still remained popular to this day. That being said, Fortnite, another battle royale game, has overtaken it in terms of popularity, with some proclaiming it the superior game. However, there are several reasons why PUBG is the better game.

The first reason is that PUBG features more realistic graphics and weaponry. The player character looks more human than Fortnite’s, and every single weapon in PUBG is based off a real weapon. This allows the player relate to the player character and their position more than in Fortnites. This has the effect of players adapting a more careful and conservative strategy, and dissuading them from just rushing in to a group of enemies, as they are more invested in the player character’s success and survival.

The conservative and safety-oriented gameplay leads into the second reason PUBG is superior to Fortnite: the gameplay is slower and games take longer. Players feel a sense of dread when not in combat, and will usually go at a slower pace than Fortnite’s, for fear of being sniped. This dread is exactly what a person would be feeling during a battle royale where 99 other people are out to kill you. This further enhances the player’s immersion into the game, making the  experience much more fun.

Finally, Fortnite has a feature that PUBG does not: building. A player can build destroyable walls between them and the enemies shooting at them, blocking their bullets for a short time. These walls can be stacked and rotated, leading to massive forts being formed, and sieging the most valid strategy of success. However, if a player has to waste bullets breaking down a wall which, with only one or two button presses, can be put back up, or waste time sieging a fort only to be taken by surprise and killed, how is that fair? Where is the fairness to players who are good at shooting or hiding, but not building? PUBG eliminates this strategy of “Siege or Fall” by simply not having a building system. This means that players must rely on their shooting or hiding to do well, with no system in place to neutralize their skill levels and a player with a certain skill set will have an advantage.

In conclusion, PUBG is the older, superior version of Fortnite because of its immersion factor, its slower pacing and strategy, and its ability to give each player a fair fighting chance.
