Compete in the Richland Library’s Art and Writing Contest

0 votes

The Richland Community Library is once again promoting our local artists and writers of all ages in their 2019 Art and Writing Contest.

The contestants will be divided by age into four groups: 6 and under, 6-11, 12017, and 18+. The top three winners in each category win a gift-card, and the first place winner of each category will have their artwork displayed all summer.

For the artwork competition, you can only submit 2-D or 3-D pieces that are appropriate and are made of non-perishable items. Art pieces also can not be taller or wider than three feet on all sides and can not weigh over 20 lbs.

Short stories, short writing, and poems with a max word count of 1,000 will be accepted and judged for the writing competition.

Only one entry per category (artwork or writing) is allowed per person, and all pieces must be submitted to the Richland Community Library in person by March 31, where they will then be displayed all through April for voting. Popular vote will determine the three winners of each category, who will be announced at the Artist Reception on April 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with free food and drink.
