The Blue Devil’s band marches into another season: What’s ahead this year?

After making it to states last year in Detroit, Michigan with its performance, “The Ring,” the Gull Lake Marching Band has yet another show planned for this year.

The Marching Band show for this year is none other than Jack and the Beanstalk. With Bradon Burris as the director, the band is ready to march into this year’s season.

It’s first time presenting their show “Jack and the Beanstalk” to the community was on Friday, September 6.  Plenty of time and effort has been put onto the show already.

“I practice about an hour after school every day,” drumline student Liam Drzewicki said. “ In a week we practice 10-12 hours at school. At home, I practice around 30 minutes every day.”

The band took it to the next level a week later at the varsity football game on Friday, September 13 when they surprised Gull Lake students with Fortnite dances that they had incorporated into their routine.

After the performance, the students were on their feet giving them a standing ovation. Will the Blue Devil Marching Band make the high climb and make it to states again this year?
