High school sports themes night process of selection

Typically at high school sports games, there are themes for the student section for school spirit. These are often organized by the student senate.

Senate member Danny Clancy works to choose these sports themes. He said the ideas are presented to the them to the senate, reviewed and finally they vote on them to be part of the game.

During homecoming they make a whole week to dress up and then on the Friday it is spirit day which means that students dress up in school colors.

Clancy said that the most popular theme is school spirit and that he likes this one the most because everyone usually participates in it and that it’s a good way for the school to come together and support the sports teams, even if they don’t enjoy sports.

About

I am currently a sophomore at Gull Lake High School. I chose to join newspaper because I have always wanted to create something for the whole school to see, and this class was the best option for me. Altogether, I think it will be a fun class. I have been at Gull Lake since third grade. I have three older brothers. I have played basketball for eight years, freshman year was my last year of playing. I also played volleyball for one year in seventh grade. I love listening to music (mostly pop and rap). I also love hanging out with friends and family.
