Gull Lake High School 2020 Prom tentatively set for July 18

Prom this year is going to be a little different. Prom is a fun time to dress up nice and guys and girls can go out for dinner and shop for dresses and suits. This year is different because it will be harder to get a prom dress and suit since most stores are closed due to the pandemic, also the day dates that people usually have are going to be different since restaurants are still only doing take out or curb side pick ups.

Normally prom is during the end of the second trimester of the year. This year’s prom will be held at the Air Zoo. Due to corona virus, prom is being pushed back and is scheduled to be held on July 18, 2020.

Prom is usually held in one of three different places: The Air Zoo, State Theater or Kalamazoo Institution of Art downtown. It rotates and changes places every year.

Assuming restrictions will be lifted, the plan for prom according to Senate adviser, Reggie Walters is to be on July 18 from 8 to 11 p.m.

“We would really love to have the seniors to have their last time in high school to have this experience and have prom this year,” Walter said.
